Baby Sweater Workshop: “Fairy Dust” by Dani Sunshine

When: Wednesdays, June 12, 19, 26, 6:00–8:00pm
Description: Let’s knit a sweater together this month—a baby sweater, that is. This darling little cardigan, worked from the top down and featuring yarnover increases that add a pretty touch to the shaping, can be made with short or long sleeves. Knitting this sweater will give you the confidence to knit your own full-grown sweater if you haven’t already and will leave you with a beautiful gift for a special little one.
Prerequisites: Participants must be able to knit and block a gauge swatch—i.e., cast on, knit, purl, and bind off—as described in the homework (below).
Homework: Participants must knit and block a gauge swatch prior to first class. You will receive detailed swatching instructions when you register.
Min/max number of participants: 4/8
Materials to bring along:
- 200–650 yards sport weight yarn, purchased from Spun (we suggest Lang Cashmerino or Malabrigo Arroyo)
- 32” size US6 circular needles (or size needed to achieve gauge)
- Size US6 double-pointed needles
- stitch markers
- stitch holders or waste yarn
- tapestry needle
- 2–3 12mm buttons
- A copy, digital or printed, of the Fairy Dust pattern, available to purchase and download here
